On the 11 and 12 May, our project leaders at Beta Technological Centre joined partners from across the Euro-Mediterranean region in Lisbon for the Natural Heritage Mission’s Community of Practice Meeting.
Hosted at ISG (Instituto Superior de Gestão), the event brought together thematic projects and stakeholders operating under the Interreg Euro-MED programme, united by a common commitment to protecting and promoting natural heritage across the Mediterranean basin.
The meeting opened with internal coordination sessions, allowing project leaders to align on the joint roadmap and address key financial and technical priorities. Over the following two days, the Community of Practice convened for a rich and wide-ranging programme.
- Strategic coordination and joint roadmap discussions, exploring how the NHM network can best align efforts across its partner organisations.
- Sessions focused on the evolution of the NHM Community, with a special emphasis on amplifying results and transferring learnings from completed projects to new ones.
- Cluster methodology workshops, presenting results from ongoing collaborative clusters and opening pathways for new partnerships to form.
- A dedicated communication workshop preparing pilot contributions for the 2026 awareness-raising campaign, as well as materials for the Programme’s Mid-term event in Marseille in November 2026.
The final day brought advocacy priorities into focus, with discussions on policy work, thematic project needs and territorial advocacy strategies. The mentorship programme knowledge-transfer mission was also reviewed, examining challenges, solutions, and pathways to wider adoption. The event closed with working sessions on co-creating activities with thematic projects, engaging external stakeholders, and producing academy materials, laying the groundwork for the community’s next chapter.
