In Bari, second training session, focused on awareness

10/07/2025

The second training session of the Bari catchment site was held on 4 July, organised by CNR Istituto di Ricerca Sulle Acque and attended by local authorities, agencies, universities and research centres, among others. It focused on the governance of flood management, as well as on raising awareness of the risk.

As part of the meeting, a number of workshops were held with the aim of building collective knowledge to better manage the phenomenon of flash flooding in a complex area characterised by the urban layout of a series of watercourses locally known as “lame”.

One activity was devoted to identifying the stakeholders involved in flood management within public administrations, private companies, research and teaching centres and civil society. Relational maps were then drawn up to link all these stakeholders according to their synergies in regards to flooding management.

Finally, part of the session focused on the educational material being produced by LocAll4Flood and how to disseminate it to the various target audiences.
