XIII Iberian Congress of Water Management and Planning
This congress is organised by Fundación Nueva Cultura del Agua, which is made up of professionals from Spain and Portugal that promote a new vision of water use characterised by the consideration of its environmental, social, cultural and economic dimensions. ‘From scarcity to social and environmental reallocation of water’ is the motto of this year’s edition, which will deal mainly about the water urban cycle, the interdependence between agriculture and hydrological systems, water landscapes and the governance of an increasingly scarce resource.
LocAll4Flood will contribute to these exchanges with the communication of one of its deliverables, “Flash flood awareness and risk perception evaluation as a basis to design adaptation solutions in the 4 different topographical areas”, that will be presented by Juan Miguel Rosillo Comino, from Balearic Islands University, one of the project partners. This document exposes the results of a survey of almost 3,000 citizens from 7 different pilot sites of the project that covers the topics of flooding hazard perception, vulnerability and response and opinions about flood causes and solutions.
